Episode 14 Shock Collar FTW header

Who’s ready to talk some Destiny? On this episode, I break down my first experience with the Allies of Necessity draft kit, as Greg and I crack into our split box of Convergence for a sealed battle. Next, I talk about some recent standard games running Grievous/Armored Reinforcement and then Palpatine/Dengar. Spoiler alert: Turns out the latter one is not so good.

Episode 13 Header

After a brief hiatus, we’re back – and we’re not alone! My buddy Greg joins me in my studio to discuss the decks we piloted in a recent Star Wars Destiny marathon gaming session. Greg discusses his latest Aphra build, now featuring Commando Droid and elite General Grievous from the Convergence block. I tried my best to shut down his droids with Maul and Savage Opress, but the deck wasn’t quite yet up to the challenge. Would if fare better against the Terror to Behold and a Jawa sidekick?

Ep. 07: Shine & Slime Header

It’s been a fun couple of weeks, as I was able to finally pit my Maul/Savage and Phasma/Jabba decks against my buddy Greg. Would I once again crumble to his Destiny prowess, or would this be the night I finally come out on top? Solidarity plot, 40-card decks, and a 5-card sideboard, oh my! Join us February 22nd as we say goodbye to the Awakenings block in a truly janky fashion.

Episode 04: Sebulba's Super Commandos

Have you ever wondered how Episode I would have been different if Sebulba — having been defeated in the pod race — extracted revenge on Anakin by hiring some Mandalorian assassins to take him out? If so, this is the deck for you! My first mono yellow build features three characters, 27 health, and a plethora of damage created outside of the dice. But would it still be enough to stand up to Kylo/Anakin in my local meta?

Ep. 03: Let the Wookie Warrior Win

Episode 3 is in the house! I gave the reworked Hero Sticks deck a spin, letting eEzra2, Wookie Warrior, and Jedi Sentinel go up against a Luke2/Poe2 deck and then Anakin/Kylo. It did alright!  I made some misplays early on, but it was all worth it to see a couple of God Rolls go my way later in the night. Overall, it was a very enjoyable deck to play. Following the recap, I  run through the full decklist and talk about some changes I would make to give the deck even more consistency.Continue Reading “Ep. 03: Let the Wookie Warrior Win”
