Do you have a favorite character from the Star Wars universe that either isn’t in Star Wars: Destiny or isn’t really playable in the current meta? I sure do. Gather round, kids. This is the story of my affection for Maul, why I feel he’s such a compelling character, and how I came to design an alt-art version of his card. As we head into a new year, I can only hope that we’ll be greeted with a new version of everyone’s favorite “cut-in-half-but-somehow-survived” Star Wars villain.

This episode’s Booster Pack
I’ll be opening a brand new booster each episode and discussing the cards inside. This episode’s booster pack was provided by TopDeckTCG, an online provider of strategy, content, and singles for games such as Star Wars: Destiny. They’re also a Friend of Jank — thank you TopDeckTCG!
Here’s this week’s pull, from another Across the Galaxy booster:
Chain Sickle is sweet! I’m super happy about that one. Will need to find a deck to work some of these commons in though. Across the Galaxy seems odd, but I suppose if you lose the roll off you can get your battlefield on the table for free, so long as you do not currently have the battlefield. Janky card, for sure. Remember – you can track this opening and previous booster openings over on the Cracked Packs page.
