Ep. 22: Luke V. Snoke header

I’m back after a hiatus to bring you an update on my Worlds prep (yes, I’m going!). This past weekend, rather than grind some games through the competitive gauntlet, Greg and I mixed things up by staging another sealed box battle featuring discounted boxes bought on Amazon. We each cracked a box from Way of the Force, making some great pulls to add to our respective collections. I go over who cracked what and discussed the decks that we each built in preparation for the battle. Finally, I recap the three games we played and some trades we made at the end of the night. Then, as always, I crack a pack!

This episode’s AKA: Old Man Jank — Reluctant Instructor

Show Notes

  • I was a guest on the Sept. 30 episode of Roll On, joining brothers Kevin and Corwin to talk about Destiny casual play, going to Worlds, and — of course — Maul! Give it a listen.
  • Our Shop is now open! Follow this link to browse our merch bundles. All purchases come with free alt-art and directly help support the pod and website.
  • Check out Friend of Jank Game Shop of Destiny for your Destiny card needs. Use discount code “Jank15” to save 15% off your order of Destiny singles.
  • Hooray Sticker Mule! All of my Jank merch (stickers, magnets, and coasters) are printed by Sticker Mule and are of amazing quality. If you’d like to print some of your own things, here’s a hand referral to save you $10.

This episode’s Booster Pack

I’ll be opening a brand new booster each episode and discussing the cards inside. Here’s this episode’s pull, from the one booster pack of Spark of Hope that was generously provided by Kingwood Hobbies.

Ep. 22 Cracked Pack

TL-50 Heavy Repeater is a a rare I didn’t previously have, and I’m sure I’ll give it a go in a trooper deck down the road. I’m also really happy to pull my first Separatist Embargo! Red villain FTW!

Rakuten Promotional Offer

If you do a lot of online shopping and are into free money, give Rakuten a try. I used a Rakuten promotion to get $10 back when I bought two General Grievous starter decks earlier this year. You can take advantage of the same deal, earning $10 back after making qualifying purchases of $25 or more. Plus, if you sign up using the referral link below and take advantage of the $10 back offer, Jank It Up, Fuzzball will receive a commission. If you’re a frequent online shopper, it’s an easy way to earn $10 for yourself while also supporting the pod!
