The time has come. I share my thoughts on the sudden announcement of Destiny’s demise and try to talk myself into being excited for attending Worlds in May. Then, I talk a bit about some decks I’ve tried out recently and recap a 1/2 box sealed battle I had with Greg using Legacies and the Rivals draft kit. Could my team of Yoda, Wedge Antilles, and a Clone Trooper win the day?Continue Reading "Ep. 29: Easy Pickings"
If you’ve ever played Hot Potato as a child, then you’re already familiar with the concept of a new Covert Missions uncommon card. It’s one that I personally can’t wait to get on the table, even though FFG persists on making us all wait on the arrival of the ninth and penultimate set of Star Wars: Destiny. The master of…Continue Reading “Well That’s Uncommon: Vengeful Wookiee”
The full Covert Missions set has finally been revealed by FFG! Although we’re still not sure when we’ll actually see it on shelves, you can at least peruse all 160 cards that make up the set. Happy New Year everyone! Greg joins me in studio as we recap our Prime performances from January 4th in Houston. We talk about why we chose the decks we brought and then go through each of our six rounds. We break down our matchups, highlight the great plays that were made, and reflect on lessons we learned along the way. Afterwards, we crack two new Spark of Hope booster packs, generously donated by Kingwood Hobbies and Gameshop of Destiny.Continue Reading "Ep. 28: The Double Laser Tripwire"
